Ace of Cups
Cult all-female San Francisco, CA rock band formed in 1967 (and important enough to have a Wikipedia page). The band never released any recordings and after several of the original members left (and were replaced by male musicians) the band broke up in 1972.
Lead vocals were sung by all members of the band except Vitalich, and all five sang backup. The songwriting, too, was divided among the band members.
