Ensign History & Team Record
Liechtenstein businessman and racing driver Rikky von Opel commissioned Morris Nunn to build him a Formula One car in 1973 and it first appeared at the Spanish GP. The team ran a limited program, but after the first race of the 1874 season, Von Opel left the team for a chance to drive the second works Brabham. He was not a success and Brabham replaced him later in the season with Carlos Pace. Morris Nunn took over complete control of the team and ran it on a shoestring budget for many years, without any major success. At the end of the 1982 season the team merged with Teddy Yip's Theodore operation and then dispanded at the end of 1983.
