ALAMEDA – In the wake of the free agent signing by the Denver Broncos of slot receiver Wes Welker, the Oakland Raiders have declared they will have two additional bye weeks during the 2013 season. These will coincide with the dates when they were scheduled to play the Broncos.

Coach Dennis Allen stated, “These additional weeks of practice during the season will definitely help the team gel into a cohesive unit. Even though we’ll miss that great BBQ stand at Sport Authority Field.”

Michael Huff was later quoted as saying, “Man, I’m damn lucky to have been cut!”
