You can’t begin to get it because you can’t and haven’t walked the mile and experienced how things like these have for so long been a cover for virulent racism and bigotry. You really want to have an honest discussion about race? Then you have to first acknowledge that institutional racism happens so frequently that the purveyors of it don’t even know they are exercising in it and have no clue that they’ve done anything wrong.
