At the launch of the new Lotus Renault R31 at Valencia this week, the team announced that Bruno Senna and Romian Grosjean were joining the squad as test/reserve drivers…alongside Ho-Pin Tung, Jan Charouz AND Fairuz Fauzy.
In a sport that offers practically zero in-season testing, what does a team really need with FIVE test drivers? It’s one thing to have a pipeline of young talent but who’s kidding who here?
