Loss of a Rising Star: Anthoine Hubert

Sadly, during the opening laps of the Formula 2 race supporting the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa, rising French star Anthoine Hubert was involved in a horrific high speed crash and succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Also involved was young American Juan-Manuel Correa who remains hospitalized at this time, in stable condition, and Frenchman Giuliano Alesi, who was released after being examined. The race was not restarted after the incident.

Hubert had won two F2 races this year after winning the GP3 Championship last season and was a member of the Renault Sport Academy team. He was 22 years old.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, the BWT Arden team and his fellow drivers.
