I am told I am the moderator for the Current Affairs category of the MCZ blog.  Being a frequent poster on other forums, I should have no trouble finding topics to discuss here. Expect to see posts about politics and constitutional law from an atheist, libertarian, legal layman’s perspective such as eminent domain abuse and separation of church and state. I might occasionally post a stupid criminal story or discuss a hot new consumer electronic toy, but politics and the type of law that affects us all will be the bread and butter of this category.

I picked my blog-name, “jeffersonish” as a tribute to Thomas Jefferson, the founding father I think my political views are most closely aligned with. This is based on somewhat casual observation and the results of the political quiz at okcupid.com where they placed me squarely on Jefferson’s left lapel.  I might add that nobody has ever mistaken me for George Jefferson, Richard Jefferson, William Jefferson Clinton or a member of Jefferson Airplane/Starship.
